Huong, a Vietnam War survivor that came to the U.S. in 1975, expresses her views on immigration through the use of art. Her particular focus has been on creating a mural that is eight feet high and 400 feet long, containing over 200 quotations about American immigration from political and social leaders. She has also left open spaces throughout the mural, which allows viewers to add their own quotes and thoughts about immigration, regardless of what their perspective on the issue is. Through this mural, Huong only has one objective: Peace.  She hopes the mural will “…give you a different angle to look at, to reeducate yourself, to open your mind.  This is the road to peace!  We can resolve the problem peacefully, morally, and humanely.”
